whats the big benefits of have your torque converter on a switch?

2000 f-350 dually Superchips 80 horse piggyback chip. (I know it sucks saving money for a dp tuner) 4 in. Turbo back exhaust.AFE stage 2 intake. Pyro, trans and boost gauges installed.

I used this write up for my TC switch, that way it keeps your O/D light from blinking.

well under normal operation your clutch free wheels and allows ur stator to spin faster mgiving u torque multiplication but when u lock up the clutch using a switch it gives u a 1:1 so less powerloss because less moving parts....
