so i heard about international dt 466 turbos being dropped into a f350 with minimal mods... has anybody on here heard of it and what has to be done? i have a donor dump truck at work that i would love to take the turbo off of. thanks

2000 f350 7.3 ext cab 6speed- 4inch dp, 5inch straight pipe, ts 6 pos chip. stock 140 100 75 50 high idle, zoodad, fpr shimmed, 6637 intake, 5inch lift, foil delete, beans idm, stage one injectors....r.i.p was fun when it lasted

Define "minimal"--to some folks that means no-tools, to others it means only a little welding is involved...

not exactly a bolt on but nothing to serious like complete custom fab. i am confident in my welding its just that i am not a big fabricator

it would take some major fabrication for not much gain in my opinion.
those turbos are supported by the exhaust housing where the 7.3 turbos are supported by the center section. you would need ne up pipes, mount to block, oil feed and drain lines, and a new y-pipe into the intake. if your going to go through all that work go with a H2E or something like that.

i will just slap a wicked wheel or banks wheel in my turbo now and see what that does for me... thanks guys
