Injectors

Ok...I have a set of injectors at the builder...all torn down and ready to be rebuilt.

Here is the question. The injectors are AD's. I can have them rebuilt to spec, or I can have them stepped up to Stage 1's. Stepping up to Stage 1's will run about double what it will cost to get them to spec AD's. I don't hotrod the truck...and am still running the stock early 99 turbo.

I have the stock AB's in the truck now...so either way I will end up with a bit more fuel. Just trying to figure out if its worth the price to go to Stage 1's or not.

For the same cost as stage Is you can have hybrids. Only thing with hybrids is it'd be nice to have larger nozzles which can always be put in later.

Either way if the "builder" doesn't do the ADs right in converting them to stage Is or hybrids you'll have problems. There is more that needs to be replaced than just the P&Bs.

The builder isn't a concern...very highly respected in the field.

Just trying to figure out if double the cost is worth it.

I wouldn't hesitate to jump to stage 1's. Tuning (from the proper source) will take care of turning them down for you and making it streetable.

Just make sure that in the process they go to single shots as well.

Also, if you get the sticks turned into AC Stg. 1's, they'll use less high-pressure oil so if your HPOP is getting weak, the rebuilt injectors will help with that for a while.

Yeah...they would be single shot Stage 1's. I'm just worried about air...as if I have enough.

I have a Stealth stage 1 on the truck right now. Pressure isn't/won't be a problem.

Your ABs would have been the better choice to send in for the conversion to singles. They have all the right parts to just swap in the singleshot P&Bs. If you go to singles I'd highly recomend just going to hybrids. If you leave the stock nozzles on them they'll be toned down a bit as it is and you can limit your power with the tuning. They are the same cost either way and this way when you want more power down the road it's just a nozzle swap and/or a chip program away.
