front to rear tank switch dilema

What is the dilema that is encountered when changing from mechanical fuel delivery to electric ? When I hear people discuss the change I then here that only one tank can be used after the change was made . How can this be fixed ? Would it be possible to use two pumps instead of one that are controlled by the tank switch ?
I am wanting to change mine over , but , I am concerned that I am going to lose my fuel capacity .

I am still using both tanks on mine with no problems with 1 SD pump and stage 1 injectors, and using all the stock lines with no pressure drop. Now if you have big injectors and need tones of fuel then you would need to either sump your tanks together or get the big bronco tank.

I am running stage II's the truck hasnt been put back together yet so I dont know what I am going to run into . I still have the 15* hpop and I am sure that I will have to change it .

Im runnin babyswamps on my 96 with a sd pump and custom lines.
works good with the 2 tanks
went to hook up a fass pump but the selector valve is to restrictive for that.

1996 psd 5speed 4x4 cc 8' bed, 3" body lift, 35's swamped, dp-tuner, intercooled, custom fuel system, no fan, and a few other goodies, 263k. 349.2hp sold
2003 7.3 4r100 4wd sc 8', xlt 20th anniversary edition
stock cept for duals. 260k sarted out as a 2wd xl work tk
Early 99 CC dually 4x4 4r100 dark lights, dark windows, stainless simulators
99 v-10 4x4 sc sb auto 275hp gas guzzler
double-s-diesel is offline
