engine stalling problem

2000 f550 7.3l

when i coast in gear and then brake my truck rpm's drop and sometimes stall. when i go right to braking, the rpm's stay normal.

would this be a pcm issue? fuel pump?

thanks for your help.

can you tell how low your icp gets when it does stall? my '94 was doing the same thing awhile back due to a torn upper injector o-ring and I was losing all my high pressure oil. could also be an ipr valve not working right. mine would be driving fine until i pushed the clutch in and then it would die as soon as i did. looking at your stats there, your icp does seem a little low. once i got mine running right again, i had about 1000 psi at idle. i checked that with a manual gauge though.

well, with new pcm, ipr, hpop, hpos, it still has a drop in rpm the way it did before. it runs fine and has a little more power than before and when you go directly from the accelerator to pressing the clutch and braking it idles down fine. the problem is when you coast with the trans engaged and then clutch/brake the rpms drop and the truck wants to stall.

i'm out of ideas and this truck is starting to work a nerve so any help is appreciated.

Could you have a sticky mechanism in the clutch linkage that's not letting the clutch fully disengage and consequently killing the engine? It's a bit of a stretch, I know, but you've already ruled out the first line of stuff I'd look at...

2K2 F350 PSD/ZF6, Fluidampr/Melling LPOP, AirDog/ITP RR, DP F5, Tymar/high-flow outlet/MBRP 4", Dynatrac Free-Spin hub conversion
