Walmart carries the Motorcraft brand which is good. Some of the parts stores carry Purolators which are also good filters.

Bahh....

I've got a Fram on the truck now...and had one last oil change. Blackstone says filtration is fine without issues.

Trouble with Fram is that you pay for the name. Their filtration is no better...or worse...than Motorcrafts or Puro's...

The reason I am running them right now is that I caught Advance Auto selling Frams 2 for 5 bucks awhile ago...with no stipulation about more expensive filters in their ad or in the store. The high school dude behind the counter just rang 'em up at the 2 for 5 price. Bought all that they had

motorcraft FL-1995. if the filter is upside down like these then you dont need to worry about the anti-drain back valve. stay away from the cheapos especially FRAM. If you believe in FRAM or the other cheapos just cut one open and take a look inside, you wont ever buy another FRAM if you did.

I did...no cardboard...metal welded ends. I really looked no different that any of the others I have cut open.

Now..that said...I won't run one on any of my cars. I have seen the cardboard ends on those.
