2000 Needs Waterpump. Advice

My father's truck just spit the waterpump bigtime. Fan blade is damaged as well. If you guys could some quick pointers on replacement. Looking down from bird's eye view it actually looks pretty easy to do which is what worries me... . Here's my questions since I have not worked on a PS.

Where should I get the new one ? Advanced Auto has New for 150$
Where should I get the fan ? Ford ? Is there a better place ?
Oviously I should do both hoses and thermostat. Will generic Thermostat be ok or does it need to come from Ford ?
It almost looks like I can pull the WP without removing any accessories ??
I am a diesel Mechanic so I don't need step by step, just want to make sure there are no surprises I am not seeing. Also what Coolant goes in it ? I'll assume the truck is all stock. My Dad is crippled , My 76 yr old Mother uses the truck to plow the driveway. So it doesn't tow or get used hard or require IMHO any crazy upgrades. Just need to fix it.
Thanks.

I would get one with a good warranty.
How bad is the fan? ifs its bad i would deff replace it. if its a small dent dont worry.
Both hoses would be fine,
Thermostats are either good or bad so why replace .
Remove shroud and fan together.
If its the same size as a 95 its a 48MM for the fan nut. then we used the 54mm fan wrench to hold the pulley from moving(fits over the pully bolts)

I was always taught do the thermostat when you do the WP. Fan is plastic and one of the blades has a crack so it's gotta be changed.

check the ford and international dealers for the fan. Get an upper hose for a dual alternator set up. Makes it so you can change the belt without having to take of the hose. Your almost certain to have to get the adapter (can't think of name) the upper hose goes into it will almost certainly leak if you don't.

OK so Advanced Auto WP should be OK. Go to ford for the fan.

It better be. that's what I have. As far as the fan you can check any parts store but that might be something they don't carry. I'd still check with Ford some times their parts prices end up being cheaper. If you accidentally drop the temp sensor in the water pump definitely get it from Ford, it is cheaper.

well here's the pump. A few miles more and the timing case cover would have been gone too. It was gouged up a little but think it will be ok.
