Is this normal?

2000 7.3 dually.

Driving down the road truck starts to sputter then shuts down. Pull over and drain the water drain lever. Then the truck starts and runs fine at this point.

Is this normal? I have a hard time believing this is. It seems to happen about every tank.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

No, its not normal. Do you buy your fuel from the same place?

Mostly. Wal-Mart has the cheapest fuel in our area.

I believe you have a water in fuel problem, and those are generally caused by the place you buy fuel from. I would go elsewhere and see if the problem continues.

I have bought fuel from every station I can think of and have never had water in my fuel. I would try a different station. If not maybe the area you live in is quite humid and causing you problems, just a thought.

Yes it is very humid here in Missouri. Humidity is ridiculous.

I will try another fill up station.

Thanks again.
