when my original turbo went it was making a ticking sound under load so you may indeed be looking at a rebuild soon. I has excessive play when I inspected it. I went with a GTP38R to replace it and while it lasted it was a ggod turbo but if I had it to do all over again I would have gone with something rebuildable as the GTP38R didn't last very long. I know where you can get a rebuild kit and for around $100.00 and send it to the guy to have it balanced. If you want to know where pm me. Gene

Sonnax kit, Dieselsites' A/C heater core bypass valve, Autometer Boost, Pyro, and Trans temp guages in A pillar, Regulator in MAP line set at 20psi, boost tube, wastgate adjusted real tight, Aih delete, and Zoodad'ed. Amsoil fluids, Monroe Reflex shocks, and Ironman APR 265/75/16R tires.
