99 f450 fuel? problem

so the 99 f450 is giving me problems, it will drive around town all day long without a problem, I will get on the highway and after 5-10 miles at 60-70 mph it will suddenly bog down and start to lose power and just do about 20-25 mph until i shut it off for ~30 min, then start it and it will drive like normal again. would this be a fuel problem electronic problem or something Im not seeing here? my buddy says bad injectors, but I doubt that as i would think that is a constant issue

How old is the fuel filter?

Your EBP valve might also be sticking--that could explain the gutless throttle and bogging down. Last October when I had my turbo off I put on a high-flow turbine outlet and non-EBPV pedestal so that little "problem" will never happen again.

I have a friend that has the same truck and was having the same symptoms as you. After looking at it found that the 450's with the tank in the rear are known for the sending unit in the tank to have problems. There is a valve that regulates the fuel to be recirculated to the fuel bowl for cold weather conditions. The valve sticks and you loose fuel pressure. I replaced the sending unit assembly and now it runs like a top.

If i had to bet i would put my money on that.
