eatin' gp relays

So my brother has a '96 or '97 7.3...and it seems like every year we put a new relay in it! Is there a reason for this? Are the relays junk or is there some thing else wrong?

Mine was that way too: just about one GPR per year. The stockers don't seem to be quite up the the current draw and burn out. Here's the Stancor at Allied Elec:

Stancor number: 586-902
Allied Electronics number: 576-1078

This has been in mine since Feb 06 with no issues.
