rear axel splitter?

Curious to see if anyone has put a two speed rear end under a powerstroke. Saw a cummins with one the other day, just wasn't sure if its worth the modifications.

2002 F-350 psd. 6-speed. Deweze bail bed. Muffler delete, DIY Intake. 40 hp chip

aussiedave has a gear vendors in his truck, its a little differant but he same idea

what exactly would you gain from this? more bottom end power?

2000 f350 7.3 ext cab 6speed- 4inch dp, 5inch straight pipe, ts 6 pos chip. stock 140 100 75 50 high idle, zoodad, fpr shimmed, 6637 intake, 5inch lift, foil delete, beans idm, stage one injectors....r.i.p was fun when it lasted

you can run at higher speeds at lower rpm without changing your gear ratio and better fuel economy

that seems to be the general consensus, and may be what i end up doin, but i've seen and heard guys pullin the axels out of old 2 ton trucks and makin it work. I'd just like to run at lower rpms and not be have to pull in od on big roads

that being for the 5 speed how is it going to work in your 6 speed?
