looking to buy a 00 7.3/6spd

Hey guys
I'm looking to buy a 00 7.3 regular cab with a stick, its got 118k miles, new water pump, alternator, ball joints, brake calipers, leveling kit, diablosport predator, all stock otherwise, hes had it 3 or 4 years, said he doesnt want a truck that big anymore, oil pans been replaced. In relatively nice shape, books for 12,500, he said he'll give me it for 7500. sound good? I want to go check it out first, but If I can get out from under my lariat I think i'm gonna get it.

The trucks are pretty solid trucks. Rusty Oil pans is definitely a problem.

As for price - couldn't really tell you. Front suspensions components tend to be wear items.

Garage
4wd has wear issues with bearings and ball joints if its orig clutch may be short lived they tend to throw the dampner springs in the 130xxx mile range but for 7500 prob a real good deal unless its been thrashed should be good for 300xxx easy

the 99 and 00 have a poorly designed clutch fork. If it breaks, they sell the newer design. that 6 spd is huge to pull out.

2000 F250 Supercab 2wd, 6spd, DP Tuner, Southbend conFE, MBRP 4" turbo back straight pipe. DIY intake.

Fordracing200 I buy a lot of hay up you way, I like to buy ford 7.3 PS with high miles because most of the factory crap has been replaced, The trucks with the sticks bring more $$$ at the auctions. I Think this happens because every one who works these truck know the autos are so problematic.

What is the Lariat you need to get out of?

That is a great deal on a truck with low miles. The six speed isn't that bad to drop. I wil attest to the bad clutch fork. I was very upset to see that was the failure point on my transmission after having it towed 300 miles back to my house. It should have forged rods in the motor as well. It should serve you well.

early '99 converted to late '99 F-350 dually, 4x4, 4 door, long bed, 6 speed. Midwest transmissions 05+ zf-6 transmission with their short throw shifter and SB clutch. Rosewood 180cc with 80% nozzles, Termy modded 17* HPOP, International bellowed up pipes, fs-2500, DP Tunes. A few other things here and there...
dually club member.. Why replace 5 tires when you can replace seven? I like my training wheels...

No F150's or gassers pickups for me, I have a BMW for a car already.
