help!! high egt's after install

ok so i just got done modding my truck (96 obs) and i did them all at once and heres the list:

intercooler installed
regulated return fuel system
adrenaline hpop
rosewood stage 2's
3" down pipe to single 5" stack
idm mod
gauge install.
ts chip

everything went well and the truck fires up and runs great

my problem is that when going down the road at about 60 on the stock setting i am seeing about 1000* on my gauge, if i bump it up to level 1 or 2 then they drop back down to around 700* but she bellows the smoke, (dnt want a ticket)
we noticed that my exhaust manifolds are leaking a bit would that be a cause of my extreme egts? any ideas?

I am wondering if the exhaust manifolds from a 99 or newer 7.3 would fit my obs? they look physically bigger so should flow more, also is there any way to modify the fire wall to exepct a 4" dp?? it was a PITA to get the 3" in but im trying to figure out ways to lower my egt's.

any help here guys??

the manifolds off a sd are diffrent uppipe routing so unless you want to convert over to a SD turbo set up thats out. uppipes and manifolds leaking could cause higher than expected egts

That is a lot of mods to do all at once. Might take a bit of retracing. I agree that leaky up-pipes could increase EGT. Are you running the stock turbo with those stage 2s and everything else? If so EGT could easily on the warm side.

it might be in your tuning. are you running stock TS tuning? its very posible you have a boost leak. when we did my IC i had a couple boost leaks i needed to fix.

{95 F250 Powerstroke XLT} 5 spd, Wildman 6 pos. chip, custom IC, ADs, AFE stage 2 intake, 3" down pipe to custom 5in stack. EBPV break, shimed FPR, idm mod by mattymx, CCV mod, Leveling Kit, diprocol egt and boost guages.

i forgot to mention that i am in the process of replacing my manifolds and will try that. the passenger side had a vissible crack in it and driver side had a pin hole would that be enough for the boost to leak out that much?

Garage
Are the Stage 2's 22, 24, 27 lpm?

Don't forget your dumping a lot of fuel in there, what pressure are you at?
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge inside the cab or just under the hood?

It's important to get your fuel pressure right and then check the timing.

Look at the timing on all levels, stock, 60, 80 or whatever you use.

With the list of nice mods u have already, a stock turbo and a 3" dp will prob still cause higher than stock EGTs. Even if u fixed any leaks u may have. Kind of a bottle neck in the exhaust now if u know what I mean. PM me and I can give u a guys number that can prob help u with a 4" DP mod. And give u some tips on what turbo would be better if u want.
