450 to 500hp

Last dyno run I put down a 380hp run. I have in place the fuel system, head studs, valve springs and pushrods, and hpop system. I know what turbo I want and will have it for next pulling season. The question I have now is how big of a injector do I need for the 450 to 500hp level. I drive this truck as a daily driver, Truck pull, 1/4 mile drag race and sand race with it.
What is the rule of thump when figuring injector size?

I'm at 425 hp with a set of hybrids and open exhaust, diy intake and IDM mod, this is going by the calculators here at TDG. my hybrids are 238cc.

1995 f250 2wd PSD, auto, DIY intake, DIY exhaust, PHP tuned 40hp tune , Hybrids injectors 238cc..... 13.618 in the 1/4 at 6000lbs.


1995 GMC 3500HD dump truck 6.5 turbo(lol) DIY intake and exhaust.


2008 GMC 2500 hd stock for now.EFI LIVE installed!!!!!

i would say some 250/100s would be more then enough to make over 500 with the right suporting mods.

{95 F250 Powerstroke XLT} 5 spd, Wildman 6 pos. chip, custom IC, ADs, AFE stage 2 intake, 3" down pipe to custom 5in stack. EBPV break, shimed FPR, idm mod by mattymx, CCV mod, Leveling Kit, diprocol egt and boost guages.

You should be able to get more with a tuner. I dynoed my truck two weeks ago an it got 425 hp with only tuner, straight pipe, intake elbow and cold air intake and it still wanted to go up more it wasn't going all the way yet, but I didn't want to push it even more. The graph was still going up when we would release the gas pedal. Its a 05 6.0

That's the difference between the 6.0 and my obs 7.3. First dyno pull was only 155hp at the rear wheels. I know that I need bigger injectors but how big. I don't want to go to big, don't want the heat. I use this truck hard, truck pull, drag racing and started last year at sand drags. So I am after usable horse power.

it all depends on your supporting mods, but i would go with some hybrids either 238s or 250s. the nozzle size will determine the amount of power, smoke and heat they will generate.

This last weekend when I dynoed my 99 7.3 I put down a 516 HP and 1121 TQ with 238cc Hybrids with 80% over stock nozzles from Nate at Unlimited a 38r BB turbo with a 1.00 housing, a custom chip from Matt at Gearhead and some other supporting mods. This is the 2nd time I have been on a dyno and put down over 500hp it is a proven setup.

This is also my daily driver and I tow gooseneck with it and everything with no issue
