You get what you pay for, and I BET that shop won't "Dare you to break it" when you leave,,, you won't get lunch at the local diner either. Nor will you get to watch him build it, while explaining nearly everything he does, and why..... That shop won't stand behind the trans even after the 2 year "Handshake" warranty, like Brian does,,,, It's the best 4300.00 I ever spent on my truck, that was about 7 years, and nearly 160,000 ago on that transmission, and that Trans is in it's second truck. This truck had 80,000 of those miles hauling cars on a 3 car wedge trailer behind it most of them. I am confident that if it went out tomorrow, he would take care of me, MAYBE not totally free, but I KNOW he would take care of me.. I have no DOUBT whatsoever.

I hope you don't regret it man,,,,,, good luck.

Hopefully it is a very high quality unit.

Please take no offense to the rest, nothing personal intended.

Just a comment on the thread in general and the majority of low $ trannys installed in modified trucks.
We see similar posts often on many sites. We get inquires in reference to them requesting parts lists for local rebuilders.
If a rebuilder doesn't know what parts they need.. They likely do standard rebuilds only. A tuned, PSD with 238cc Hybrid injectors would be considered in the modified truck class.

Most veteran PSD members here probably know why we get those types of inquires. Parts are fine, but we wonder why no one realizes RacerX actually did the rebuild. We still offer rebuilds. It's on the banner...

Very few things are inexpensive, custom and high performance.

I'm not saying anything bad about any builder....but I ran this truck 25 times yesterday at the strip, 11 times within 1.5 hours and never missed a beat....in 92 degree track temperature....and ran a consistent 14.07....to 14.25 until the sun went down.

With this being said, I'm going to buy a better transmission...in the future, but this one will get me below 14's which is the reason, I went with it. I will look at your racer x and the BTS....after this season.
