Can I pull my oil pan without pulling me engine?

The oil pan on my 1995 7.3 is right smack in the way of some holes I have to drill. Every time I have tried to drop an oil pan in a Ford in the past it did not go well. I always ended up having to pull the engine. I am pretty sure I already know the answer but I was holding out for some hope. I was hoping maybe a few of you found a trick to dropping the pan without yanking the engine. Oh, and loosening the engine mounts and lifting it up will not be an option either. There is just not room for that.

Cause we ain't married to you and don't wanna be

Wish you well.

You could, maybe, jack the motor up but I don't know if that will get it out of the way enough to drill your holes.

As deep as the oil pan is I doubt it. I guess I will have to find a way to drill a hole in a cramped space.

Do you not have to pull the Cab to take out the motor? I would be looking at getting the holes cut with a plasma cutter. Just a thought!

Not on the older body style. I do not have a plasma cutter or access to one.

nope engine has to come out, the oil pickup is to long to even jack up the engine enough to get it out.
