Tony,

JW can build u a trans in the $3500 range, cost goes up depending on the Stage trans u are looking for. BTS is around $4000 give or take a couple hundred dollars. Anyway, i have been on these boards for many years and i have seen many people go with a "CHEAPER" trans only to be burned on it later. THere are a lot of builders out there that claim they can "build you a transmission" But there are only TWO i would ever put trust into building a transmission for me, John Wood or Brian at BTS. Im telling ya, DO NOT try and save yourself a few hundred dollars with this Ripper 3000 transmission. You will regret it in the long run and it will end up costing you more money. Do it right the first time, u will not be disappointed in those two builders i mentioned

Thanks Diezel.

If it comes down to a rebuilt unit, I will contact these two shops.
Their names do come up a lot on this and other forums.

With what you're hauling already, just go ahead and get one in the works with someone.

You'll be very glad you did when the factory one craps out on you at the most inopportune time.
