Replaced my clutch with a South Bend

I have always had a stiff pedal since I purchased the truck and then the throw out bearing gave up on me so I went ahead and replaced everything with the South Bend Clutch and all I can say is WOW! The new clutch is great the pedal feels like nothing before and the clutch engages and goes way smoother than it ever did before. Here are some pics of the clutch disc, it had one broken spring and a keeper missing on another spring that had been allowing it to ride the flywheel and put a nice groove into it.

What was yours doing? Mines hoppy, you can't slip it. It's either on or off. Pedal is so stiff I go through those plastic bushings on the pedal in no time.

Gotta get this done, damnit.

Those symptoms sound very similar to what mine was doing and just make sure and replace with a good one because that clutch only had around 35 or 40k miles but it was a cheap one from advanced or auto zone and it sucked big time. The south bend is a great clutch and you will be nothing but satisfied with it, I highly recommend it.

Very impressed with south bend customer service as well I emailed to inquire about some stickers since none came with the clutch and he sent me a reply back and said they're in the mail.
