loud "pop" after firing up what is it?

I hear a loud popping noise after firing up the 7.3. the noise sounds like its behind the dash and sometimes its quite a shock. anyone know what this is?
Also I have to plug in the block heater overnight and the temp is well above freezing. DOH! any ideas I actually think its injectors but the truck runs good so im ot sure 300k near time for a newer truck and to go back to work after spring breakup. Have a good one and thanx in advance.
Bro.

the pop could be fom the vent selector changing when it receives vacuum at start-up

glow plug relay works and glow plug resistaces are all good but do I really need glow plugs at this temp? I wonder if that pop is anything to worry about?

The sound happens when you leave your A/C on when starting the truck. It's normal. If you want the sound to go away, turn the A/C selector knob to off before killing the engine, and leave it off until after you start the truck.

is it right after it fires up or is it right before? I'm wondering if you have an unusually load relay or your relay is up against the dash frame.......
