New to the whole diesel scene, I could use some input.

Where do i start to help this thing in the performance dept.????

This is my first diesel and need as much help as possible.

It is a 1989 Dodge Ram LE250 4x4 with the ctd.

Where do i start???

Do the same rules apply as a gas engine?
Intake , Exhaust, Fuel and such???

Thanks in advance.

first thing i would do is put a good exhaust on it
then get yourself a set of guages
then you can "turn up" the pump and advance the timing
bigger turbo
it never ends lol

Start with exhaust, intake, and gauges. Then we can get you into some easy pump mods on the VE.
