97 12v

I just purchased a 97 Dodge 2500 with the 12 valve and a manual trans. 92k on the od. This truck never pulled anything and is in as good a shape paint, bed liner etc.. as a new truck....11000.00 I think I did pretty well, plus the truck is 4x4 and LOADED..Will put a 5" pipe on next week. anything I should add?

sounds like a nice truck and a fair deal. i would save your money and put 4" exhaust on unless you're planning on building for over 400 hp. get some gauges on that thing too.

Sounds like you did good. Do a quick search on here for "Killer Dowel Pin or KDP". You need to get that fixed as soon as possible if it has not already been done.

As for additions, what are your plans for the truck? A set of gauges, boost and egt are always good to start off with. A good open air intake, BHAF will work just fine if you want to save some money. The exhaust which you are already doing will help also. As for the toss up between 4" or 5", it is your money but 4" is really all you need. The 5" just has a deeper sound to it.

Good luck with the truck and let us know if we can help.

I had talked to some of the shops and they all said the 4" is plenty..I am not going to "kit" the thing out for max HP etc but am wanting to make an impression in my company so will use it accordingly for advertising etc.
thanks for all the info..
