If you have a manual transmission, you'll need to upgrade the clutch, if it a stock type clutch. Won't hold the power.

If you have an auto, shouldn't have to do a thing.

Makes sure to use the boost fitting that comes with the plate either way.

Did you slide the AFC housing forward all of the way? If it is in stock position or all of the way back, you won't feel any gains at all.

:iagree make sure its forward. There should be a noticeable difference in your top end unless something else is limiting you like a plugged filter or bad LP. But w/ stock rpms you wouldn't be getting that high on a #10 anywase so more rpms might help.

Also with my 100 I noticed that if I set the arm flush with the bottom it woulds stick for a minute the jump and start climbing so I set it just a hair above flush and it pulls smoothly now.

well i didnt set it DIRECTLY on the edge of the plate.....i figured it might stick. so i placed it bout .020 or so from the edge and yes the afc is FF. i did notice a better lowend torqe. also i just read that with my #10 and a boost elbow i could see boost levels bout 40 sumthin......is that correct? cuz i only got a 30lbs gauges and dont want to exceed 30lbs cuz after that i aint got no idea wtf is goin on after 30

I can get 40 w/ my boost elbow closed, when its down tight it blocks the wastegate all-together, so I just backed the screw out about 1/2 turn and now I see 35 max so if you back it out a full turn or more you should be able to set it at 28-29 where you can still read it.

You might try shaving the afc arm then adjusting the starwheel and the screw in the back of the afc housing to compensate. W/o shaving the arm sometimes it won't travel far enough and will become the limiting factor.

Can't say on the boost. I only had a 30# gauge like you do, at the time. Run a 60 now. New gauge wasn't in place til after the HX40 was installed. I can tell you I could bury the 30 with the stock boost fitting with just the 10 plate as the only fueling mod.
