return line

I was told by an old timer today that I should just clamp down my fuel return line, or find the nut which restricts flow back to the injector pump. he said he had done it before and that it helped him. I understand the conept of increasing back pressure so-as to force more fuel out at the injectors but im not sure sure I trust him.
Any thoughts?

Also, does anyone know the average life span on a set of stock injectors.

thanks Chris

Are you having problems? What are you trying to accomplish? Stock injectors can run a long time, 300k+ miles.

Some people will pinch the return line as a test to see if the overflow valve is working correctly. It not going to necessarily give you "more" fuel at the injector. What it does is allow the injection pump to fully fill up if the over flow spring is weak.

just curious for the most part, I didnt take an overflow into account or anything. Just thought that it might be another cheap way to add a little power, the way he talked it up and all.

for the time being i just want to add a little power because i dont have money for a clutch. I think im pretty much maxed out now as far as i understand it.
