Fuel plate

Does anyone know if you can buy just a stock fuel plate from a cummins shop, the part #, and how much?

Thanks

I was going to try and grind my own down to a 10 this weekend and just wondered if it would still be cheaper, even if i screwed it up royaly and had to buy another one, than buying one off of one of the performance sites to begin with. (I dont have a bench grinder or anything im just gonna go rambo on this thing with a file and some air grinders)

I'm not sure. Let us know.

I haven't done it before but I'd think a hand-held grinder would be the easiest. Make sure to cool it often

I can run it without the plate, for a while at least, just to see if i like it and/or if it puts out too much smoke without hurting anything right? (Ive seen different opinons here and there)

Yes I have run w/o a plate. Some people say that w/ no/#0 plate and a 4k gsk you will experience rack bindage but I haven't seen it yet.

I know many people who have run many thousands of miles without a plate. Is it safe or are they lucky, you decide.
