fuel pump

Has anyone put a "race car" style pump on their trucks? If so what all needs to be done? I was told that I would need to change the return line in some fashion and to just bypass the lift pump and not to exceed 50psi. Is this correct? Any help would be great.

When you say "race care style" are you referring to something like an aeromotive?

You only need to mess w/ the return line if you want to use an adjustable pressure regulator instead of an overflow valve.

You could simply splice the pump into the existing system and bypass the stock pump if you wanted. Or you could run all new lines for a clean look and less potential for leaks.
