Auto trans mods ?

OK, when I start bumping the power on the dually, what trans mods are needed to handle say 400-450 hp (not sure the trans in a 97 4x4 dually, my tranny guru said he guesses 518 or 618), the TC, pan & shift kit I'm sure, what/whos parts, and approx $$$, got the labor end covered, new to the dodge world, thanks in advance.

EDIT, hey mods, hope this is in the correct room, did'nt see a tranny room, hint, hint

'97 3500 dually cc 4x4, bhaf, 4" down pipe to 5" exhaust, 100 plate, boost elbow, 4k gsk, timing bump, 60lb springs. Trans Go shift kit. Billet Converter. Isspro boost, pyro & trans temp gauges.

A buddy of mine has an 01 2nd gen and had his trans donw with "Goerend"(spelling?, out of Ohio), VB and other parts, he did the upgrade himself at another friend of ours shop....apparently Goerend is the trans guy for Dodge...I'm sure more info will follow shortly here...lots of useful info here at TDG all day long...good luck w/upgrade, those Cummins pull like no other

Noted!
I'm asking and will let you know.

Life changes, so roll with it, not against it.

Goerend's in in Iowa and Dave is the man. He makes one of the best converters in the country for our trucks. You have a 47RE trans in your '97. IMO you need a converter, billet input and a VB upgrade. A good rebuild kit from some place like Suncoast would be good as well since it will contain the HD-billet strut brace and billet accumulator piston.....or you just buy a built trans from someone like Goerend.
