DP Tuner chip question

I'm new here and looking at getting a used DP Tuner chip for my truck. About how much does it cost to convert from one computer code to another? I already have a homemade Tymar installed and a BTM. Beside gauges, do you think I would need anything else to run the 80hp econo tune. I do not have any plans to pull anything, just looking for a little more power.

Give me a call and I'll be happy to assist you with the cost.

You should ba fine with what you have, what is the chip comming out of? If its a 01 or late 99 you most likely can run whats on there. Your truck should be NVK, 01's are PMT, both will work together, I have a few NVK burns and run both in my PMT truck...

Jody would not recommend that. Your truck will not like the VDH programming very much. I suggest you get it reburned so your truck will perform correctly.

If you just want alittle more power then you may want to get the 40hp, as the 80hp is like opening a can of whoopass, . The 80 hp econo tune is what i ran for alittle over a year and you will love it. I know it is not a towing program but i reguarly pulled my 5'er in the summer and my snowmobile trailer in the winter, and they both weigh just under 8,000lbs and it did it just fine and with better fuel mileage than when stock. Diane and Jody will take good care of you. Gene :mafia

One more question, at least for now. Would I have any problems running a PMT1 chip from a 2001?

Thanks,
Curt

PMT1 will work in a 2001 as long as it is not a California coded truck. You might want to find out how the chip is set up to make sure it matches your truck setup. (i.e- aftermarket trans, valve body, HD shift kit, many other things....) If the chip was purchased directly through us I can look that information up for you as long as you can supply me who bought it from us.

SeeYa,

I guess I didn't explain myself very well. The chip is coming out of a 2001 with code PMT1 and I'd like to use it in a 2000 with code NVK4.
