chiped?

My brother just bought a truck that was said to be chiped. Well the PCM still has the coating on it and I heared that there is another way they could have done it and that would be under the hood somewhere. I have no clue where to look now. The truck sits on 38"s and has no problem spinning the tires and if you drive hard the trans starts to shift harder and it will chirp the tires in 3rd. I am just trying to find out if it is chiped or what?

What kind of truck? What year? Any other mods that you can see? I would bet a programer, but without any gauges and 38's I would be scaird...

Check under the hood around the under hood breaker box, something that said EDGE on it. Might have a programer tuned on it too.

It does sound like it has a programmer with that kind of performance. I'd definatally get a set of guages in there to keep things covered.
