my buddys 97 powerstroke

what are the best exhaust, intake, and chip kit for a 1997 7.3L powerstroke?? my buddy just got this truck and he wants to keep up with the Jones if you know what i mean.

I think you will find the same for exhaust and intakes, most people go w/ AFE and MBRP or the other reputable brands. Chips there are a lot of good ones, TS (we carry them) DP, and some others that aren't sponsors on this site. Is the truck an auto or manual? Let me know if I can help.

Exhaust is pretty much all the same. Some are a little easier to install than others but the power will be the same. The down pipe is the real bottle neck of the OBS trucks.

Intake - I would put a "Tymar" intake on it. Search in the tech articles for DIY intake and you will find a write up with everyting you need to know.

Chip - Go with a chip from www.totaldieselperformance.com Tony Wildman has a great product and even better customer service.
