DP tuner TC lock strategy

Question for DP owners that have the 80 econ mode. About where does your torque converter lock in when you get on it (say 3/4 throttle) compared to a light to medium throttle? When I get on mine it will lock as late as the 50-60mph range and I always thought the TC should locked sooner when you got in it. Under normal to medium throttle mine locks in around 35mph.

Does the TC behave differently in different modes such as tow modes?

(Granted, the other night when I noticed this late lock-in I was starting from a rolling start about 25mph in 2nd gear merging on the freeway)

I am guessing that is how Jody has the TC lock set up. For more info on it you could contact DP Tuner or PM SeeYa.

From a dead stop it will lock sooner at the 1-2 shift. If you are cruising already it won't until later.

yes the TC will act differently in the tow modes.

41mph every time.

If it's cold it won't lock til 50 or so, if it's really cold it won't lock at all until the TC warms up.

Totally normal
