Chip reburn????

I got a buddy that pulled a 3 postion chip from his 03' F250 7.3L before he traded it in. Not sure of the make of the chip. Is it possible to have this chip reburned for my 02' F350 7.3L? He told me I could have the chip and switch for free. I could save a few bucks, if it's possible, instead of purchasing a new chip.

Thanks for any responses.

Not sure...I'm gonna get it from him and see if it has any branding on it. He say's he got it from a some dealer here in Houston back in 03' when he bought the truck new. The guy came out to his house, programmed the chip from his laptop computer and put it in for him. Aren't most chips originally derived from TS (at least that is what I have been told) and then each tuner burns his own programs into it? I'm hoping this is the case with this freebee.

Most chips are from van Aaken or TS. Take a picture of the chip and send it to me and I will tell you what kind it is.

That is a van Aaken 4 bank chip.

If you send it to us we can reprogram it for you. Shoot me a PM if you would like to get it done.

This is true, it looks like a Bullydog private label chip though so there is much better programs to be put on it.

I think the company named HPD is Hamilton Performance Diesel and they are still in business and doing very well. He has a nice sized facility now.

The other (Texas Diesel) could be a dealer of ours that has changed his business name to Dominator Diesel Texas. He is still mobile and has no shop. Or there is also Texas Diesel Power in Weatherford Texas but I don't know how close that is to Houston.
