Got my DP tuner in yesterday

Well I finally got my DP installed! I absolutely love it! :smoke But now I have some questions. I got it put in and turned it up immediately (like any normal guy would!) I was wondering about anybody elses experiences with it. Once you have it installed does the truck always idle faster? Also, if I set it back to stock the truck has absolutely NO power. It feels like I can only get about half power out of the truck. Is that what they call limp mode? I need to get it fixed or something. Thanks in advance. Sam:grd

mine idles a few rpm different for each setting....i dont know that its a big enough difference to call it a "faster" idle. maybe just 50 to 100rpm max?

you could try unplugging the chip and driving around to see how that compares to the chip's stock setting? i'm not sure. i did notice today that out of boost my 80econo feels almost slower than stock. once you're in boost, its a world of difference.

Cool, glad you like it.

Yes the different power levels will sound different due to the ICP increases each program has.

No, Stock will feel like bone stock. There is no HP increase.

I understand that there is no power increase for stock. But the stock setting feels like it is less than it was before I put the chip in.

Have you had possession of your truck since it was manufactured? If you bought it off of someone it could have been flashed or chipped with an uploader and when you put in the DP Tuner you got the real stock setting. Other than that I have no clue. I do though know that after driving my truck on 80eco since I got the tuner going back to stock feels like the truck is a Tonka toy.
