Safest and most power out of a 97 7.3?

I've heard that 97 7.3's cant handle much more than an 80hp tune on stock injectors. Is this true? Or is there a tuner out there that can safely get 100hp out of a 97? Thanks

I keep thinkin gas engines. haha. So there isnt really any danger of runing a diesel out of fuel (lean) like a gas engine, huh? Like my car, when you can destroy the engine by running it lean. But diesel are always detonating, so i guess it doesnt matter? And there is no way around this problem besides getting bigger injectors? You cant raise fuel pressure somehow or something along those lines? thanks

Nope... Bigger injectors... Thats about it... You can do it on the cheap by getting a set of SD injectors, but then you have the split shot programing... Or you can do the DIY injectors for about $500...
