Question Is stacking a problem?

i have a 2000 7.3. i put a Volant cold air induct on it. got alot of hisssssss with it too between shifts. i put the banks 4" exust on it with the power elbow. didnt notice a thing it did for the truck. still got the hisssssss. i run a hyper tech programmer and bought the DP tuner and stacked them because of tire settings. the truck ran great until i put my foot in it. the boost got up to about 26 and now the overdrive is kicked out and now it kicks in and out. got the 80eco, 40 tow, 1200 idle, and stock. all positions keep the overdrive kicked out.

Hello new tranny... Your tranny is cooked, is the off light flashing on the shifter?

Dont stack the programer and the Chip, it never works out...

BTW, when you put the DP-Tuner chip on, it completely overrides the Hypertech. Chips and tuners don't stack.

And it does sound like the trans is toast. Getting on it hard like you did that last time was the straw that broke the camel's back. More than likely it was dying a slow and painful death for quite some time now.

the tranny shifts out just fine, just when the light is on it wont go into overdrive. when the light does go off it shifts and runs as always. im wondering it the PCM got scrambled.

So when it wont shift its blinking right? Not just on solid? If so your tranny is cooked, if the light just stays on all the time there could be something in the wire harness that is keeping the OD locked out... But I doubt that is the case!

I took the truck to TNT Diesel, they seem to think the PCM is not sending the proper codes. they need to do a test on the PCM but are booked up. have to bring it back another day.
