Goin with DP

From the sounds of it in these forums DP is the way to go, so I'm ordering mine today. Got my X-mas bonus ha ha ha. I'm going to get high idle, 80 eco, 100, 120, 140 aggressive, and lope idle. The one thing I have read is that a stock hpop can't handle the lope idle tune. Was wondering if this was true or not. I do plan on eventually putting an aftermarket hpop in but I don't want to kill my stock one. Any info on this would be great. Thanks

might consider some tow tunes also, never know when you might hook up to something. make sure too plan on gauges in the future too. better safe than sorry.

Sounds good and definitely add a tow tune in there. The "usual" is the 60tow.

FYI, most folks report not feeling much difference between the 80econo, 100perf, and 120race. Maybe drop the 100 to make room for the tow tune.

I definitely notice a difference btw 80 econo and 120 race...80 to 100 isn't all that big but the 80 to 120 seems like a huge difference in my truck. 1st gear is useless and 2nd gear goes up in smoke about half the time in the 120hp mode.

my experiences, fwiw:

120 race versus 80 econo: HUGE difference. Both in power, and smoke.
40 tow tune: necessary to keep EGTs in check while grossing 16klbs with straight pipe exhaust, also useful in the rain to tone it down a notch.

i have a 140 aggressive/lope tune combo file, and it does not lope. I talked to Diane (SeeYa) about this, and she said Jody would have to live to tune it to get it to lope right. I might do that, but will more than likely wait a while until I get single shots and then get all my tuning fixed at that point. I can't speak to whether the lope file doesn't work just beacuse of tuning, or my HPOP's inability to keep up. Let me know if i can offer any more help.
