Life after Banks...

Is awesome now that I just installed my DP-Tuner! Honestly the 60 tow is as strong as the "Big Hoss" 120 hp chip that I did have. I am very impressed with my purchase and a big thanks to Jody for getting it to me as fast as he did; top-notch folks! The only question; is it common for the CEL to come on?

2002 F-250 Crew Cab 4x4, DP-Tuner 60 tow, 80 eco, 120 race, and 140 smoke, Banks wastegate, Banks Transcommand(bypassed), 4" SS exhaust, AFE stage 2 intake, Superlift 6" lift, 37" Nitto Terra Grapplers, 18" Motto wheels, EGT and Boost gauges.

It is not un-common to see the CEL.

It's probably an over-boost code and an easy fix for that is to get ITP's boost annihilator.

Enjoy!

Does it come on in all settings or just the higher hp settings? If the SES (CEL) light comes on for just the higher hp settings, then it could likely be the HPOP falling a little behind its demand.

You're not the only person to find how lame Banks stuff performs. I once had a Stinger Plus kit and it never impressed or seemed to live up to advertisements. Since I replaced all the Banks crap with the stuff in my sig, the truck has been screaming like a raped ape. I know I'll never get the money back that I wasted on the Banks stuff, but I can tell others of my mistake and how much better off I am now.

Yeah I know where your coming from about wasting some money. I can't get the grin off my face from just driving around; a 30 yr. old feeling like a teenager again! You have a nice signature. What kind of power are you putting down with your set-up? How do you like that BTS tranny? After my new-found power, my stock tranny will soon be a hot mess! It was slipping some before, but now it's really lagging. I've heard alot about BTS and was just curious about how it has been for you.

Don't know, aren't any dyno's U.P. here. If I were to guess/hope, I'd say between 325-350. If it gives you any indications, my AutoEnginuity says it'll go 0 -60 in about 7.5 seconds in the 100hp chip position.

BTS---There is no other!! It's been absolutely flawless for about 120,000 miles now. I paid Brian a visit about two years after it was installed. He did a teardown & inspection and performed all the updates incorporated since my tranny was built. One change was to soften the 1-2 shift a touch. Before when I would floor it and it would hit 2nd, it would catch rubber!!!:93C_peelo :93C_peelo Now, it's firm and fast, but just not so hard on tires.

went and test drove an 06 kingranch with 37s and a lift the other day, 31k on the truck, and i flipped its banks swith to top notch and it felt like i was driving a gasser, im sure the big tires didn't help much, but dang, my 7.3 would have put it to shame with the same tire/lift combo
