Airbag light w/ DP Tuner?

I just installed a DP Tuner F-5 on my buddies truck. It is a 2001 model. Since we installed the DP Tuner, the airbag light is flashing. I cleaned the contacts on the PCM until you could see the brass on the tips. I installed the DP Tuner on my truck with no problem. I was wondering if anybody knew what was going on to make the airbag light start flashing?

I'd call Jody and discuss the problem with him. Its the first time I've heard of it.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the PCM has much to do with the air bag stuff. I believe the air bag system has it's own control module.

The key switch to turn off the passenger side air bag went bad on me once. That caused the air bag light on the dash to flash.

Later on, few years back, I was having a variety of intermittant electrical issues including the one you describe. Long story short, it turned out to be corroded battery connections. The moment I cleaned them, all those gremlins went away.

Me too. I installed my DP Tuner on my truck back last summer with absolutely no problems. His airbag light will flash for a few mins, go out for a few seconds, and then flash again. The light flashes, but the power from the chip is definetly there. It maybe just something we hit or nudged during the install.

Thanks Diane for the quick response. I relayed the message to him and he is supposed to be calling Jody.
