Truck won't run after chip install, mayday

So last night I put in a dp-tuner. At first it started up fine, ran fine for about 50-75 feet then it took a ****. I was happy to go 2mph at full throttle. I limp back and park it, pull the chip out, cleaned the terminals, put it back in, same problem. Took the chip out, still the same problem.

Here's what it does:

stock - takes a while to start and barely keeps from cutting of - rpms cycle between 300 and 500 (normal idle is 700).

lope idle - holds idle but runs really rough, lots of vibes.

high idle 1100 rpm - holds 1100-1200 rpm idle but again, very rough.

60 hp tow, 80 hp econo, 120 hp race, and 140 hp agressive - holds idle but lots of vibes. I had to back off of a curb and barely made it. In the 140 hp setting I held the pedal to the floor and didn't see any more than 1k rpms, barely made it over a 2" hump.

This morning I go back out to find the batteries dead.. so I had two trucks jump me. Had plenty of power to get the motor spinning over like usual but it wouldn't hit at all. I'm getting white smoke coming out of the tailpipe and some out of the turbo.

Called Jody this morning and he suggested I drive it a little and see if something got in the IPR... but that was before I found out the truck wouldn't start. Now i'm at my wit's end.

Any suggestions?

Pull the chip out and get the truck running good again. Then retry the chip.

right now the chip is out, I put in two brand new optima red top batteries, and she will not start. Engine turns over and kind of sounds like it hits every now and then but won't start up.

When it ran it had a CEL but my code reader couldn't pull it so I don't know what it was. I've checked fuses and don't see any bad ones.

I cleaned it well, I read many threads/instructions beforehand and knew about problems with people not properly cleaning it. I was careful about that.

I've tried calling Jody today but they don't have office hours today. I tried calling him back twice yesterday after it wouldn't start but couldn't get a hold of him.

Try plugging it in. Since you have white smoke that means you are getting fuel. Your glow plug relay and glow plugs would be a good place to look for the problem. There is a great write up on how to diagnose a cold start problem in the "Ford-Modification instructions, Product installs and Tech Articles" forum of this site. Read through it and check that part out next.

Getting the codes from the computer would be a good idea as well.

Tried plugging it in and it didn't make a difference. Here's a video from friday when I tried to start it. At first it fired for a split second then cut off.. now it makes the same sound every single time, the sound it makes after I tried starting again.

http://video.thedieselgarage.com/vid...4600016757.htm

Tomorrow i'll dig out the multi-meter, that is unless anybody can tell the problem just by watching the video?

Thanks for the replies. I've been dreaming about this truck with a tuner for years and years.. just trying to get her on the road

The only code showing is p0603, keep alive memory.

I checked all fuses, relays, and diodes again related to the PCM and all is clear. Still can't find my multimeter to check the other things
