Talking DP Tuner & Bio-Diesel

:ford I make and use my own BioDiesel , B50 or 50% in the winter and B100 as soon as spring will let me, (actually it is so nice never having to go to a gas station from April-ish through September-ish) and I would like to get a DP tuner with some tow tunes etc.
My question is, do any of you have a DP tuner and use Bio?
How well (or bad) does it work with bio diesel?
Thanks in advance.

Mike

I've run up to B5 with my DP tunes with nary an issue.

When you order your chip...speak to Diane and Jody and see what they think. I can't imagine that there would be an issue though.

I run B100 when I have time to make it. Nothing in the winter. Never had any issues other then a thicker wallet to buy more truck parts. A good question for Jody is if there would be any different programming he could do if you are running B100.

The issue is not the BioDiesel or the using of it. I have been making and using BD for almost three years. The 7.3 power stoke :ford has never givin me a problem with it, the exhaust just smells like french frys. I was just hoping to find someone who is using BD and a DP tuner. :givemebeer
Thanks for all the replys

I get 22.5mpg avg with my DP-Tuner 80econo tune with commercial B20

I can't imagine Jody having an issue with tuning for B50 or B100 off-the-shelf, although I can imagine he would work wonders on your truck with some live-tuning.

Sorry...yes to both. Use B100 in the summer and DP-Tuner year round....40, 60 tow 80 econo, 120 and high idle. Fingers were not typing as fast as I was thinking yesterday. 15 to 16 mpg range but have got better if I don't drive it like a sports car...but what fun is that.

PS doesn't smoke as nice on the 120 w/b100....it's more of a gray haze then nice black smoke.
