dp tuner...who here has one?.

dp tuner...who here has one?..
Today at 16:02:08 Quote Modify Remove
i just got my dp tuner f5 today with the stock,..60hp tow..80 econo...120 race...and heavy fuel 140hp...

i sold my di 4-way over at the diesel stop...it had 50hp...70hp...110hp.and 140hp...

my pold di would blow smoke on the 70-140 tunes and i still had full controll of the lockup via switch...
this dp chip only blowes smoke on the 140hp and nowhere as much as the di chip did,...plus the torque converter will lock up at 35 mph and overdrive will come on at 45 mph...normally i can tap the breaks to unlock the tq,...but jodys tunes wont alow it...it stays locked untill i drop under 35mph...ive got a call into him, just waiting for a return call,...im just a bit upset,..my old di chip seemed to put out alot more than jody's...im frustraited...my di chip is allready out in the mail to the new owner...and i dont really want to be sending my chip back and forth to jody a bunch of times to get it right...

anyone else had this problem yet??

I have a manual but the 120 smokes a little, but the 140 will cover the car behind me and two lanes of traffic if I hammer it.

Dont worry Jody will make it right and you will be happy. He cant make it perfect for everyone the first time its alot of different variables in every truck for him to ask you what you have done then get it right. If you didnt know about one little thing in the tranny like a shift kit of something it wont be right. Not saying thats the problem just an example.

yea i love mine all three of mine dump smoke. 80 tow HA , 80 econo, 100 performance. but 100 will cover about half the lane for about 100'. and if i push brakes and gas up till about 1500rpm it will cover the intersection. I have a/t's and there siped so they hold until then. its not fast but all that black smoke makes it feel fast. i know that you need to be in the 12sec. 1/4 to be fast imo. my old gto ran 12.95 and that to me was flippin fast.
