DP Tuner with bad fuel mileage

I bought the DP Tuner about 3 months ago. I love the power it makes. But Im not getting the fuel mileage that every one else clams there getting 18+ MPG. Im only getting 13 on the highway in my 60hp econo tune and im only doing 60-65 mph at around 1600-1800 rpm. that leads me to my other question are most people going by the over head read out? I was told be jody that i might need new injector's. I really cant believe that when the truck only had 97,000 miles on it. i have all of the basic mods done 4'' exhaust, AFE drop in air filter that jody suggested, ccv delete oil crossover,

When we bought my 03 Excursion with 98,000 miles on it I got around town stock 16mpg. After tuning it went to 17 mpg around town and 18 on the hwy. We discovered on a trip not long after we bought it that the mileage dropped 2 mpg. It had 3 bad injectors. The best way to tell if you have any problems with your injectors before changing them is to first do a contribution test to see if there is anything wrong with them. Also, if you are runnning the grey recall CPS change it to a black one. We have had reports that it has affected fuel mileage.

Things I noticed with the bad injectors since I drove it was hard starts in the morning. No peppy throttle response like it had before in the 80E. A sputter at idle. Not a lope, but a sputter sound.

Hope this helps

Diane
