Have you tried taking the Smarty out and see if it still does it?

What he said!

I have heard of some guys with 2nd Gens and auto's not being happy with the Smary stacked with anything. Might be worth a shot. Might want to even try taking the TST to stock and see if it still does it. After that the only thing I could think of is something in the tranny, but I don't know a thing about an auto.

I didnt like the Smarty when I put one on mine. My trans already has issues but made it really act goofy.

Yeah!

If there is one thing a Smarty does well that's fuel down low, and that will sure make a auto tranny that is already weak really show it's true nature.

Yeap, my trans did not like it at all. It has no were near the problems with the EZ though. Let us know if you figure out what is causing your chugging.
