trans lockup switch fails to work on 2000

just installed the switch tonight on my 00' club cab 4x4. i followed the instructions on tst's website to a tee. took it out for a ride and no luck. came back, triple checked all connections with a meter and no issues were found. i did notice the trans seemed to lock at a lower speed and stay locked a bit longer on acceleration than normal, but truck still downshifts, unlocks, and stops dead with no stalling or lugging. what the hell is the issue here? am i missing something? do i need to disconnect batteries at all to let computer reset? from what i understand, once the trans is locked in 4th, it will remain there unless ground is broken. am i correct in my assumption? this is driving me nuts being stumped by a stupid simple wiring modification. someone please help me here. thanx!!

you sure you have the correct wire in the harness? other than that you sure you have a good ground and your hot source is hot? I did mine back in july and it worked fine..

sorry guys. for some stupid reason i put my trust in one of those generic *** inline scotch locks. i fixed the splice at b-11 and threw the rest of my scotch locks in the trash. cant wait to get up tomorrow and play with my new switch. :
