24V P Pump conversion

What all has to be changed to do this? I know Scheid has a kit to do it but what all is included? If I had a 12 valve motor to rob from would I have everything I needed except the lines & how much do the lines run by themselves?? Thanks!

i got the lines for p-pump 24v. you will need timming cover, timming housing, pump gear, pump, and lines. plus some small little brackets. if it's an auto you will need to make your stock apps senser work for trannys controlls. we just did 1 last week for a guy who pulls cars and he was sick of put vp pumps on. his is using stock injector,215hp with a small plate and 3k spring. he call me saturday and he loves it now.

95 1500 318 auto "for now"
99 1500 360 auto "for now"

since the scheid kit doesn't include the p7100 where's a good place to get one at a reasonable price? BigDodge you mentioned just finishing a conversion: about how much did it run with the plate and springs?

On some of the board in the For sale section are selling pumps. If you want a modded pump, most diesel shops sell the complete pump that will have some realy good tweaks to it.

To get the conversion done, it not too expensive and its better than watching a vp all the time and making sure it stays alive. If your looking to make some serious power its going to cost just a bit more to get it tuned just right. All in All its well worth the conversion!

About how difficult would it be to do the conversion yourself? And how does a p-pumped 24V do on fuel mileage assuming you don't turn it up for all out power?

its not to bad i did one on my dually but that is built for pulling so i cant answer the fuel mileage question i have a huge p-pump 14mm there conversion itself is fairly easy i dont rember how long it took me

Aren't there usually issues with P-pumped 24v. Like either it runs right or runs like crap.........?

not if everything is done u got to make sure the timing on the pump is right all the air is out of the fuel system and the inectors are the right ones should be just fine
