More fuel simply put! Depending on what set up you have an extra 2 to 300hp is possible on top of your existing hp

Smarty's has several downloads from mild to wild. Standard programs can add up to 170hp but, other components are necessary to do that..i,e. trans upgrade, lift pump upgrade to name a couple. A stock trans can start to slip on the high levels of the program and lot of fuel is needed.

They also have a race tune that delivers up to 250hp. You really have to have a built engine to acquire that one though.

It stacks well with the MP-8 because the Smarty doesn't add a lot of pressure. The MP-8 is a stand alone pressure box.

Something to keep in mind when stacking.... don't put two boxes together that do the same thing. To much of any given parameter could cause some serious problems.
