500-600hp range

I was wondering what i need to be in the 500-600hp range? I want it to be a daily driver and street racer and ocasional drag. Just curious what parts i would need for that. I already have a edge juice with attitude and plan on putting a 5" straight pipe turbo back along with a BHAF. I am sure the stock tranny will not hold up to those numbers as well as the stock lift pump.

lift pump(airdog), smarty, mp-8, built trans, intake/exhaust, intercooler, headstuds, valve springs, push rods, 90hp sticks. all of that added up to 600/1300 on a friends 06. minus the valve springs, push rods, and injectors its over 500.

I think he could get buy without an intercooler and be ok...throw some bigger sticks and maybe twins on it and you'll for sure be there....

My friend Mike put down 571rwhp with the following mods:

- Smarty TNT/Revo
- BHAF
- Goerand Tranny
- Quad box (pressure only)
- 4' TBE
- 90HP sticks
- ARP studs
- Aftermarket intercooler (forget brand)
- pusher pump (not an AirDog or FASS, he has that waiting to go on)
- 66mm turbo
- Water/meth kit
- intake horn
- exhaust manifold

Think thats it. Not sure of the settings on the Smarty though, but there is more power in that truck especially with the new fuel system he is going to install and now has a 5' TBE on it. Hope this helps.

Come to think of it, if you wanted to pursue further, PM him on here...username is MikMaze.

What is a pusher pump? What turbo would you suggest? Do you think that the tranny has to be full billet or just and aftermarket torque convertor?

im assuming by pusher pump he is referring to something like a 'Holley' pump

and to get 600hp you will need more then a TC

Holley didnt know they make stuff for diesel motors. Would that be the same thing as the Raptor series instead of buyins a Fass or Airdog setup?

I dont think they 'make' them for diesels, but they can be used if that makes sense i know for 24v's buy that and a Vulcan Big Line kit and mount it on the rail or tap in in direct with the factory lines i belive, but when it comes down to it your much better off just springing the extra coin for a Raptor, thats what I run on the Cummins and I like it a lot, no problems thus far, knock on wood..

Nate is right, its like a Holley pump. I think he has a Bosch pump, but am not sure. And a built up trans is going to be required for 5-600hp. Of course you could leave the stocker in there and take bets on how long it lasts.

So the Raptor replaces the stock fuel lift pump? Is it like a airdog or Fass system without the extra filters?
