need LLY advice

Hi guys, im a newcomer here and somewhat of a greenhorn in the diesel pickup seen. Im looking for someone who's had experience with the intimidator chip.My truck is an'05 with stock 245 75R16 but am thinking of switching to 265's. Will this affect my performance in anyway?

Im a lil hungover right now and my brain isnt functioning. Who makes the intimidator chip? Performance wise you should not see a really noticeable difference you are only going from 245s to 265s. Is it a tuner or a plug in device? Most tuners you can put in tires size.

as you go bigger with the same gears you will lose a little.. but with the sizes only going from 245-265 the diffrence will be minimal. you should be perfectly fine.. but like goosey said if its a programmer u might be able to put in for tire size but that usually just recalibrates ur speedo IIRC

thanks guys for the replies. The intimidator chip is popular up in the north east part of maine. Sold out of Bangor diesel. IT plugs in under the dash and you program the level of hp you desire and tire size etc.. then you uplug it until you need to make a different adjustment. If you go to extreme diesel.com you can get more info.

265's won't hurt performance at all. They only make a +2-3 mph difference at 70mph.

Thats the BD initimdator. Ive never tried it before but i will say im partial to the Diablosport predator programmer myself. does the same as the intimidator but also shows realtime data.

Maybe a little bit. You'll be turning slightly less RPMs on the road per MPH.

why does chev insist on stock 245's? Is it because they can withstand more weight?

Not really sure of the answer to this question. If you get a 1 ton single rear wheel it comes with 265s......so you got me. I dont think they can even asnwer that question.
