Talking Thanks to KILLERBEE..

My truck is now tuned with EFI Live!:smoke I am so stoked about this. KillerBee hooked me up! Not only did he answer all of my dumb "newbie" questions about EFI, he also spent about an hour with me programming my truck. He is extremely knowledgeable(sp?) and very patient. I was a little weary about doing any sort of tune on my new truck, especially since I read all of these "horror stories" about transmissions etc, but after meeting with him I feel very confident about the whole EFI program as far as reliability is concerned. Now about tuning, sheesh, there is so much to learn I feel as if i am going back to college, or learning how to use a computer once again. Michael has very good prices and certainly knows his duramax especially when it comes to EFI and the engine cooler, I mean his CAI was designed by himself. If I would have had more money, chances are I would have cleaned him out of his Oil cooler, boost controller, and one of his CAI. I now have an AIRRAID Intake for sale, since I plan on using his CAI. I definately recommend that if you are new to EFI or have any other questions about the LLY, DO NOT HESITATE to call or email him. I plan on doing business with him in the future especially on one of those new gauges he is supposed to be getting in. SO KILLERBEE(Michael) IF YOU READ THIS, SAVE ME ONE OF THOSE MULTI GAUGES! Also, feel free to PM me if you have any questions regarding doing business with him.:thanks:

WhattheDeucetx8,

I got to drive KB's truck on Monday - his tune moves his truck very well - awesome tune - and he is running 315's which take a bit more to get moving. Now I need to save up for EFI-Live I received a very good tutorial on how he is addressing temperature and altitude unlike what GM has done. It sounds like GM never finished their programming - they took the easy way out in a lot of cases instead of reducing conditions that would cause thermal runnaway.

I did not get to see the multi gauges - is one an EGT gauge?

I have started a support forum for EFI.

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/EFILiveTuning/

it will have open enrollment for a limited time, then it will be closed to all but those who make an EFILive purchase.

I plan to make this a learning forum, where someone can learn and understand tuning theory. Things like "when I add boost, how do I need to change timing?" Those are the kinds of questions that never seem to be answered.

It will also have a .tun file repository. i don't have all the details worked out, and I want it to take it's own shape, so you guys will be key in defining those needs.

Tune smart!

should be very exciting. I am looking forward to it. Yes, you can monitor EGT. It is a gauge that allows you to monitor most every parameter on the bus. Even does 0-60, etc.

For those that are in the Pheonix area, I also am running EFI Live, a built trans and bigger HP here. If you are interested in seeing what your truck may be capable of the first ride is free. hehehe

couple more. These are very capable. It took me 30 minutes to install. Doesn't even require a power lead, all plug and play into the obd port. Transmission temperature, battery voltage, and some user defined. Continuing to refine the functions.

Those gauges look sweet! I like the mount too! Nice job. Did you receive your EGT probe yet (the one with two taps on it?)
