PPE Boost Valve?

Do any of you guys run that PPE valve that tricks the wastegate?? Is this thing actually reliable for a 30 dollar part to give you that much more boost?? Thanks guys

depending on the fueling, I've seen 3-5 psi increase, sometimes more....

the only thing is, if you're runnin a lot of fuel, it's pretty easy to go over the 30-32psi range, but that probably depends on the tuning.....

i have the boost valve and took it out because i get more drive pressure psi(15-20psi of boost)on the highway cruising with the 315 toyos mt tires with the valve, which really affects fuel economy and it more wear on the motor

Im not running a ton of fuel so Im going to see what results I get from the valve, and if i hate it, hey it was only 27 bucks.

Just curious here. How do the tires factor in to increase drive pressure?

I dont know i have the ppe on mine and i havent really seen a decrease in mileage. I didnt put the valve halfway in the line though i put it closer to the wastegate because i dont want 32 psi. how would this technically cause wear on the motor? the turbo maybe if you hammer down on it for long periods of time

FWIW, 15 psi on the freeway, is about 14.9 psi more than can be used in combustion.

Oh wait, are you measuring absolute pressure (MAP) on a scanner? If so, 15 psi map is about 1 psi of boost.

Come to think of it, 15 psi of boost is not even possible at normal empty highway cruise, there is not enough exhaust gas to make that happen, even the VGT can't do it.

Yeah i boost about 5 psi on the freeway on a line plumbed to the discharge. 15 psi on the freeway is not happening. I havent gotten any worse mileage with the PPE, and im pretty much smokeless now so i wont complain its a cheap fix.
